Flexens CEO Berndt Schalin gave a presentation in the mid of March, at the International Energy for Smart Mobility in Marseille, France. – Flexens is gaining international attention, with a lot of focus given to the Finnish innovations and technologies within renewable energy, says Berndt Schalin, CEO
On Thursday, March 14th, Flexen’s CEO Berndt Schalin held a presentation at the Energy for Smart Mobility (E4SM) in Marseille, France. E4SM is a meeting place for energy and mobility stakeholders to discuss energy solutions for tomorrow’s mobility by promoting technical and commercial exchanges.
E4SM brought together a wide range of representatives and stakeholders from the industry, research institutes and authorities. The main themes of the conference were both the electric and hydrogen based solutions for mobility.
Berndt Schalin’s presentation focused on islands and isolated sites under the title “Mobility as a primary driver of the energy revolution”. During two separate sessions, he highlighted the role of the mobility solutions in the context of sector coupling in integrated self-sustained renewable energy systems. Such systems can typically be found on islands and other isolated sites.
– ”Islands are fascinating objects of interest, especially in the context of developing the sought-after sustainability solutions within future infrastructure. Due to their natural isolation islands represent both a challenge and an opportunity in what is needed to succeed with the transition to renewable energy and transformation to a future grid.”
