Flexens enters the next phase

The company board welcomes Mr. Timo Rajala, as chair of the board of Flexens Oy Ab. Mr. Rajala is highly experienced within the energy industry and its evolving business models. With a background as CEO for Pohjolan Voima Oy (PVO) and several board positions in both large and innovative small companies in the sector, he brings a large pool of knowledge and experience to the table. His expertise will help lead Flexens in our mission to become a world leading project development company for advanced sustainable and flexible energy systems.

As Flexens continues to grow, our Åland office in Mariehamn will move into a larger office space from the beginning of June.

From mid-June this year, Mr. Tuukka Vainio starts as the first employee in our office in the Helsinki region. Mr. Vainio is an experienced project manager and consultant within the renewable energy sector. Passionate about customer-driven business development and with proven success in key account management, leading large-scale energy efficiency and solar projects for buildings. We feel confident that Mr. Vainio will have a major role in the expansion of Flexens both national and international-wise.

We also welcome our new Project Manager, Mr. Jim Häggblom to our team. Mr. Häggblom will oversee the initial pilot projects and demonstration platforms that are to be launched on Åland, starting this year. In his previous role as CEO at Viking Line Bus he lead the e-transportation workgroup in the FLEXe Demo project, and will, therefore, have a flying start at Flexens.

Mr. Häggblom will join us in August, and be a key player in implementing our vision of Åland becoming the world-leading society in the transition to a sustainable energy grid.
